ABOUT ffn

According to Wikipedia, a film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more screening venues, usually in a single locality. The films may be of recent date and, depending upon the focus of the individual festival, can include international releases as well as films produced by the organizers' domestic film industry. Sometimes there is a focus on a specific film-maker or genre  or subject matter. A number of film festivals specialize in short films, each with its defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events.

Film Festivals are also local events. Unless a festival film is fortunate enough to be purchased for distribution or finds placement within a corporate structure, few people have the opportunity to benefit from the hard work that went in to its production.

Enter the film festival network. Our internet (and soon to be Cable Television) presence brings to you, our viewer, the opportunity to visit film festivals world wide. We will acquaint you with the venue, take you to "Red Carpet" events, galas, parties, and panel discussions. We will introduce you to many of the film makers and we will show you their films.

Our web site is interactive. You can follow our featured festival from start to finish or you can move around depending on your interests and your schedule. Additionally, our Archive section will allow you to search out specific events, film makers or films of interest to you.

We request your comments. This site is intended for your enjoyment and if you have comments and/or suggestions we welcome them.
